    Arts Academy of SedonaSedona News – Emerson Theater Collaborative presents Friday Night at the Theater on April 22, 7 to 8 p.m. at Arts Academy of Sedona in The Collective Sedona located at 7000 SR-179, Suite C-100 in the Village of Oak Creek. 

    This cabaret-style event will feature music, dance, recitation and drama from a variety of local artists. Entertainment slated for this month includes Bob Grogan and Cindy Cole, Gary Every and Zoot Suite Zebras, Joan Westmoreland, Shaeri Richards, Matt Egan, Craig Schneider, Rebecca Ricky and Camilla Ross.  

    If you’d like to enjoy some local eats during the performances, order dinner from Rotten Johnny’s https://www.rottenjohnnys.com or Dellepiane’s Burger Joint http://www.dellepianeburger.com and pick it up before the show. Be sure to place your order by 6 p.m. so it will be ready in time.

    A Bad Moon Rising

    What the hell is going on? Is the fabric of society in the U.S. tearing apart at the seams? Watching those videos of teens gone wild, smashing windows, stealing from shopping centers, laughing while running over bicyclists — an omen of things to come? What can be done? Catch them? Incarcerate them. Put them in jails until they learn enough about crime to come out as skilled criminals? These kids, these young men and women of color, are growing wild in the streets. From fatherless homes, unable to properly read or write, a dismal and destitute future ahead of them. What is going to happen when they reach adulthood? The cops can’t stop them. There are simply too many. They can flash mob a phalanx of cops and just run berserk around them. What are the police to do? Shoot them? Read more→
