SEDONA, Ariz. – Over the winter break, the city of Sedona’s Parks and Recreation Department will offer Winter Youth Swim Lessons at the Sedona Community Pool, located at 570 Posse Ground Rd. for children of all swimming levels between the ages of 3-15.

While online registration is available to secure a spot, participants may also join via a drop-in basis so long as there are open spots, in order to make it easy for families to come to one or multiple lessons. The thirty-minute lessons will cost $5 per lesson and be offered over two weeks on:

    • Monday, Dec. 22 and Tuesday, Dec. 23
    • Monday, Dec. 29 and Tuesday, Dec. 30

Monday lesson slots are available at 10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Tuesday lessons are available at 10:30 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. Twenty open spots are available per lesson.

This program aims to instill water confidence and proficiency while fostering a love for swimming among the youth of Sedona in a safe and encouraging environment.

To register, visit www.sedonaaz.gov/your-government/departments-and-programs/parks-recreation/pool-aquatics/school-break-swim-lessons and complete the registration form along with the $5 payment.

Contact city of Sedona Athletic and Aquatic Supervisor Kimberly Sager at ksager@sedonaaz.gov or call 928-282-7098 with questions.

    No Home Rule

Home Rule allows the city government, Staff with limitations, and Council to spend any money they have on any project they want without regard to voter input.
