Sedona AZ (September 24, 2019) – Sedona Public Library is pleased to announce a new series of basic computer classes for adults starting in September and running through November, 2019. Classes will be taught by library reference librarians. Classes are as follows:
Computer Basics: Getting Started – Learn the basics of using a computer and practice using a keyboard and mouse. No computer experience required.
Dates: Thursday, September 26 and Thursday, October 24 from 9 to 10 a.m.
Computer Basics: Internet– Learn how to use a browser to access the Internet and use Google to find information on the Internet.
Dates: Tuesday, October 1 and Tuesday November 5 from 9 to 10 a.m.
Microsoft Word (Basic) – Learn how to create and edit a document with Microsoft Word. You’ll learn basic formatting options like how to bold text, adjust line spacing and change the page alignment.
Dates: Tuesday, October 8 and Tuesday, November 12 from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
Computer Basics: Saving & Finding Files – Learn how your computer is organized, including files and folders, and discover how to find what you’re looking for.
Dates: Thursday, October 10 and Thursday, November 14 from 9 to 10 a.m.
Computer Basics: Email – Learn how to send and receive email, navigate your inbox, and practice downloading and attaching files.
Dates: Tuesday October 15 and Tuesday, November 19 from 9 to 10 a.m.
Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, & Twitter) – Social media is a powerful communication tool these days. Learn how to get started with Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. No existing accounts required.
Dates: Tuesday October 22 and Tuesday, November 26 from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
