City of Sedona ArizonaSedona AZ (March 9, 2016) – This is much more than an egg hunt; it’s a Celebration of Spring. Join city of Sedona Parks and Recreation on Saturday, March 26 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for a fun, family-friendly event held at Posse Grounds Park, 525 Posse Ground Road. Those in the community that enjoy spring and the outdoors are invited.

Upon arrival, attendees will walk to the Posse Grounds Park lower softball field for entrance onto the multi-use field for games and vendors. There is a $5 admission fee for children 12 and younger. The fun includes inflatable toys for kids, pony rides, face painting, carnival rides, a petty zoo and much more. Some vendors may charge for their goods.

The official egg hunt begins at 10 a.m. for children 8 years of age and younger. Children will be divided into age groups (0-2, 3-5, 6-8). The hunt for the thousands of eggs goes fast, so it is recommended that children be ready by 10 a.m. sharp. Parents are asked to refrain from assisting their children during the egg hunt unless children are 2 years of age or younger.

Local business will have booths set up for viewing and participation as well as various instructors will be on hand with fun, interactive displays for children. The Easter bunny will be there for picture taking.

Cash only ticket sales are available at the gate. Avoid lines by purchasing tickets in advance at the Parks and Recreation office, 525 Posse Ground Road (near the tennis courts). Tickets go on sale Monday, March 14. Parks and Recreation thanks gold sponsors Findlay Toyota and Patriot Disposal. For more information, call 282-7098 or visit www.SedonaAZ.gov/Parks.
