    Sedona AZ (January 25, 2012) – A Certified Coach, Janet Fagan specializes in career coaching as well as executive and organizational consulting. In addition to strategic planning and team development consulting, she has worked closely with business owners and entrepreneurs to recruit, hire and improve staff performance. Janet has a background in corporate as well as government, non-profit, and educational sectors.

    Janet has an extensive background in psychology and assessments and has worked with and consulted for: Educational Testing Service, Princeton; Caliper Human Resource Strategies, Princeton, as well as the New Jersey Department of Higher Education and New Jersey Department of Labor. In addition to corporate consulting, benchmarking and developing other methodologies to ensure success in talent recruitment/ hiring, Janet has an extensive background in career transition, where she served as Career Center Director for several large corporate Outplacement/Career Transition Centers for Right Management Consultants. She was also part of Right Management’s Global Response Team and consulted on a prototype model for “Career Center in a Box”. Janet also consulted with InterviewNow.com in designing online questions/competencies, as a hiring/screening tool, for Fortune 500 companies.

    As Adjunct Instructor, Yavapai College, Clarkdale, Janet has taught career skills and life planning courses. An Affiliate Consultant/E-delivery with the Impact Group, Janet has provided extensive one-on-one coaching and job search consulting with client organizations, including: General Motors, Johnson & Johnson and Verizon, as well as the United States Military. With a background and experience in a variety of assessment tools, including the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Janet provides individual consultations and presents group workshops to employers who want to build a strong team work environment.

    City Council Weighs ATV Ban Ordinance Proposal

    The Sedona City Council at its May 23, 2023 meeting took no action on a proposed ordinance that would ban all off-road vehicles from being driven on state-owned public roads or streets owned by the city. The ordinance, spearheaded by Sedona Mayor Scott Jablow on the premise that such vehicles pose a risk to the health, safety and welfare of the community, would impose heavy fines to anyone driving the ATVs or OHVs on city streets, including S.R. 179 and S.R. 89A. ATV rental companies have admitted that such vehicles are not intended or designed to be driven on paved roads, yet, in Arizona, they are allowed to do so under Arizona Revised Statute 28-1174 (4B). Opponents against the ordinance argued at the meeting that if adopted the ban would cripple the ATV rental industry in Sedona and cause much hardship to the owners and employees, as it would effectively, as written, destroy their livelihood.
