Clarkdale AZ (September 9, 2019) – The Clarkdale Historical Society and Museum, in partnership with OLLI Sedona/Verde Valley, invites adult lifelong learners to meet and greet at an Old Fashioned Back to School Social on Friday, September 20, 3:00-5:00pm in the historic Clark Memorial Clubhouse Mens Lounge located at 19 N. Ninth Street in downtown Clarkdale. Mingle in an environment of like adults who love to learn learn, grow and connect with others in an atmosphere of volunteerism and leadership.
Cindy Emmett, Museum Operations Director at CHSM will present the “History of the Upper Verde Valley Schools”.
Light refreshments include a Wild Tonic kombucha tasting and birthday cake prepared by the Sedona Culinary Institute in celebration of OLLI’s 16th birthday. The afternoon will end with a drawing for door prizes provided by the historical society.
There is no charge to attend, however both CHSM and OLLI appreciate contributions in support of adult education.
