Sedona News – The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to expect longer delays getting through the switchbacks area of Oak Creek Canyon during the week of July 22 while crews perform drainage maintenance. Beginning Monday, July 22, the single-lane restriction that is currently in place between mileposts 388 and 389 for ongoing sediment control work will be extended south of the Pumphouse Wash Bridge to allow for the maintenance work to take place. Sedona News – Coconino National Forest fire managers are working to suppress two lightning-caused wildfires, the Knob Fire and the Clay Fire. Sedona News – As part of an effort to make wastewater rates commensurate with expenses to provide this service for residents, City Council will determine if increasing the wastewater rate for residential and commercial customers by 3.6% is appropriate at a public hearing as part of the regular city council meeting at City Hall on August 13, 2024 at 4:30 p.m. If approved, the new rates would become effective in October 2024.
