Despite reason, despite he was in a position of power and had his prey surrounded, he went and did so, much to my embarrassment and chagrin. Ugh. It makes no sense. Everything seemed poised for a deal that both sides could live with. We could have gone peacefully into our next designer pandemic but no, Putin had to go and spoil everything. In predicting he would not invade, I…

No more mind stuff getting in the way, sowing fake seeds, germinating doubt and misery, and missing the point entirely … at least for a moment or two. Do you know how beautiful life is? Humans are the strangest creatures 😉 not seeming to know, striving, always striving, rarely stopping to simply fully embody life. Daffodils know. They bow down, not from the weight of the dew, but to honor this intensely perfect moment of life. Thrushes burst out in song, overflowing with joy, filled to the brim with hymns…

ADHS has consistently followed Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and today’s updated CDC recommendations on mask use are no exception. By D.G. Mawn, Madhawa Palihatihiya, and Prabha Sankaranyaran Amidst pictures of the new war in Ukraine, the U.S. is anticipating photos of truck convoys arriving in the Washington D.C. area, protesting many issues including vaccine mandates. Ukraine’s democracy is under assault just as in the U.S., we are seeing democracy in action: people organizing to use their voices. But it’s complicated. Things always are in a democracy. Convoy organizers announced participation of thousands, but trucker reality – a need to work and the in-progress lifting of mandates – is sapping those numbers. So on a beautiful September morning, I took off from Sedona airport and headed north to capture the beauty of vast aspen stands in full color on the San Francisco Peaks and environs. I had been shooting the peaks and the inner basin and then headed NW to shoot Kendrick Peak and was slowly losing altitude and was at 11,585′ when I took this shot of…
