Prescott AZ (September 19, 2020) – Yavapai County Recorder, Leslie Hoffman would like to inform the public about recent misinformation circulating about the mail in ballot process. There have been statements made that ballots returned by mail using the Business Reply envelope provided are treated by the Post Office as bulk mail and are then delivered slower. This is incorrect. Business Reply Mail is treated as First Class Mail and has priority over bulk mail. It is the same as if one had placed a stamp on the envelope.
