One wouldn’t normally think of the YMCA as your source for anti-aging solutions

logo_ymcaSedona AZ (January 25, 2013) – The new Y offers more classes that will keep you looking and feeling more youthful, more energized, and healthier for longer than you ever thought possible.

According to Dr Howard Murad in his book “The Water Secret: The Cellular Breakthrough to Look and Feel 10 Years Younger”, at about age 25, the skin begins to show signs of intrinsic aging. Aging brings with it several ailments such as rheumatism, arthritis, heart problems, and high blood pressure. This makes the new classes at the Y all the more important. Besides helping participants reduce their susceptibility to diseases or overcoming health problems, the Y’s new classes can also instill a feeling of renewed vitality. Not only do the classes help adults tackle health problems, they also help combat emotional stress which is common as we age.

“The most significant physical changes of aging really begin to appear from about age 50 to 60, leaving us more vulnerable to illness and disease. The earlier we start anti-aging practices the better” says Jim Allen, YMCA Coordinator. “The good news is, there is are tried and tested ways to help counteract the symptoms of aging! For example, practicing exercises such as Qi Gong or Yoga are excellent solutions that will slow the aging process down without having to shell out a lot of money.”

The Y is currently offering anti-aging classes in Qi Gong, Kundalini Yoga, Therapeutic Yoga, Chinese Tea, Community Acupuncture Clinic, and the Miracle Prayer Group. Regularly attending classes such as these that promote well being is known to be the best answer to help combat aging.
