    Annual Cash for College Scholarship Awareness Nights to Take Place in Prescott and Clarkdale

    logo_arizonacommunityfoundationClarkdale AZ (October 15, 2019) – The Arizona Community Foundation has partnered with Yavapai College to present the annual Cash for College Scholarship Awareness Nights. Local students, their families, and educators are invited to learn more about the opportunities for community college, traditional four-year universities, and vocational certifications which includes the non-traditional student who is returning to college.

    Two events will take place, one in Clarkdale and one in Prescott. These events are free and open to the public, and there is no need to register.

    • Yavapai College, Verde Valley Campus, Community Room – Building M., 1st Floor
    • 601 Black Hills Drive, Clarkdale

    Staff from ACF of Sedona and ACF of Yavapai County, as well as scholarship providers, will be available to answer questions and share information.     War…What is it good for? Obviously, it is good for those who profit from destruction and the taking of human life. And what is the common denominator, the impetus for war throughout the centuries? It’s about the acquisition of land, by force, deceit or any other means possible. During the holidays I went to a party where this retired couple were recounting a land dispute they were having with their neighbor. It seems their neighbor was claiming an extra six feet on their property line and the animosity had grown so strong that they were now in court trying to settle whose six feet of land it was. Prior to the dispute they had been friendly but now they had become arch enemies, all for a tiny piece of land. Read more→
