I took this shot on January 3rd down at Lake Pleasant and it was when the water was still very low as they had not started filling it with Colorado River water yet, thus the browned out background. The Osprey had been perched on a limb of a dead tree in the water and had just initiated take off. More about Osprey’s

Love those eyes, sharp talons and beak!

I couldn’t decide what size I wanted to begin with so I worked it up in several different sizes… a 3 x 2 ratio at 36 x 24, a 2 x 1 ratio at 40 x 20 and a 1 x 1 ratio at 40 x 40 inches square. After all this I decided to do a 48 x 24 inch print and use it as a fill for the permanent frame I installed on one of the dining room walls. This is an idea I came up with about ten years ago to cut down on framing costs as I do like to swap out prints in the house.

This will be the fifth print for that frame … about a 20 second change of prints, taking the old out and positioning the new one in … then to storage for a few months of the removed print until I decide to put another one in. You might want to consider doing a permanent frame like this for yourself and if you do please check with Marc DuCharme at DuCharme Framing in West Sedona and have him take care of it for you. Mark does fabulous work and has been doing all my work for over ten years … maybe longer.

I will not be putting this photo up on the website for a while, so if you would like one just send me an email.

Into the weekend for me and the plan is to be back Monday morning. Have a beautiful day and weekend … your choice, always! A repeat of Max’s words tonight as they have special meaning in these times.

    Cheers,

    Ted

And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
