    Plan for daytime lane closures on State Route 89A near the town of Jerome scheduled for April 5 and 7

    Drivers should plan for delays and allow extra travel time

    Arizona Department of TransporationJerome AZ (April 3, 2021) – The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for daytime lane closures on north- and southbound State Route 89A near the town of Jerome while rock removal is underway.  

    The following restrictions will occur from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, April 5:

    • SR 89A will be narrowed to one lane only with alternating north- and southbound travel between Forest Service Road 151 (milepost 332) and near Forest Service Road 9625 (milepost 340).
    • Flaggers will guide drivers through the work zone.
    • The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph.

    Sedona Gift Shop

    The following restrictions will occur from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 7:

    • SR 89A will be narrowed to one lane only with alternating north- and southbound travel between near Forest Service Road 106 (milepost 338) and Old Homestead Way (milepost 348).
    • Flaggers will guide drivers through the work zone.
    • The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph.                                      

    ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around personnel and equipment while vegetation removal is underway.
