… and we have this beautiful juvenile Bald Eagle as he begins his ascent into flight from his perch above Lake Pleasant this morning. Something special about those stretched out wings and in his eye there is that thousand yard stare.

We left Sedona well before sunrise this morning and the temp was reading 29F; snow was on the ground and ice on the roads … towing a boat is a rather strange way to start a day in conditions like this. Very foggy conditions the first thirty or so miles and the temperature at the lake was only 40F when we launched. Shooting conditions were fantastic and the lake like a mirror where we launched on the north west side of the lake … a mercury lake!

Many great shots again today and in my own way I am practicing catch and release … I’ve already deleted over 400 of 600 plus photographs and more will follow … not a single creature was harmed! Also a nice long afternoon nap followed the return home and a quiet evening.

Another new day in a new week just beginning and methinks it shall be a very good week. Another early morning trip to the lake on Thursday and days to be filled with wonder and joy. Have a great day, keep breathing and smile … your choice to have a good day if you wish.

    Cheers,

    Ted

    If I Were Curtis Sliwa
    By Tommy Acosta

One of my guilty little pleasures is imagining what I would do if I was in someone else’s shoes, especially politicians. In this essay I would love to jump into the shoes of Curtis Sliwa, a former New York City vigilante who founded the Guardian Angels and is now running as a Republican for mayor of his city.
