Guest Speaker: Rabbi Eric B. Wisnia
Sedona AZ (January 12, 2021) – The Jewish Community of Sedona and the Verde Valley will be hosting the second of three educational online Lecture Series events. This one is entitled, “Does Prayer Work?” featuring guest speaker, Rabbi Eric B. Wisnia, on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at 3:00 pm. His talk will focus on the provocative questions, “Does God Do Miracles?” “Does God Have Hands?” Rabbi Wisnia’s philosophy is that prayers don’t change things. Prayers change people, and people change things.
Rabbi Wisnia was ordained at the Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati, Ohio and served as assistant Rabbi at Congregation Shomer Emunim in Toledo, Ohio. He was awarded a Doctor of Divinity Degree from Hebrew Union College. He served Congregation Beth Chaim for 42 years until retiring in 2019 and was named Rabbi Emeritus.
