logo freenotesDurango CO (March 29, 2012) – Freenotes Harmony Park, the world leader in outdoor music instruments, donated seven instruments to the city Sedona, Arizona.  This spring, the instruments were installed at the Sedona Visitor’s Center and at the Bus Shelter on Main Street in Uptown Sedona.

Freenotes is making donations of outdoor instrument ensembles to destination arts communities around the world. Sedona has received the second donation, the first having been made to Key West, Florida.

To celebrate this donation, there will be a performance at the Freenotes Musical Sculpture Garden located at the Sedona Visitor’s Center. Musical talent William Eaton and Freenotes founder Richard Cooke, along with a variety of local dancers and musicians, will perform. Sedona Mayor Rob Adams will ring the first notes at this inaugural performance to commemorate the donation of Freenotes instruments to the city and citizens of Sedona.

“We are excited to perform in the new sound garden of instruments and showcase how simple it is to make beautiful music,” said Cooke. “It’s an honor to have William Eaton, Mayor Adams, and other local artists join us in the performance.”

The concert will take place on April 6th at the Freenotes Harmony Park at the Sedona Visitor’s Center (331 Forest Road) at 5:15pm. There will be no charge for this community event.
