… like most predators, One sets up an ambush from which she targets and attacks her prey … not sure what her intended target is, but she has discovered some deep grass just the other side of the cart path and sets up her attack center. She had another chase after a rabbit not long after I took this shot of her with a nice outcome for both … the rabbit got away and One had the thrill of getting close to her target.

The calendars are going faster than I anticipated and there are only 17 left … once they are gone, that is it, I will not be reordering. I expect the calendars in towards the end of next week and will get them in the mail as soon as possible after I get them. It has been fun producing them, but this will be it. If you would like one, go to: https://store18482104.ecwid.com/Pathways-of-TAO-Calendar-p237658010 One is the star on the cover appearing twice; once in her normal form and the second one she has hijacked a Black Hawk to join me soaring over northern Arizona … she would have joined me in the cockpit of the motorglider, but she wanted the freedom to soar and hunt for prey without relying on me.

Into the weekend … have a beautiful day and weekend … be safe and be kind … keep breathing and cherish the moment you are in … that is all we have.

    Cheers

    Ted

Though changed as are my songs from youth,
A voice within my heart still sings,
“Live though in tenderness and truth,
And love mankind instead of things.”
And often in the crowded mart,
With wrangling, selfish slaves of men,
These words like some old song will start,
And bring me to myself again.

    If I Were Curtis Sliwa
    By Tommy Acosta

One of my guilty little pleasures is imagining what I would do if I was in someone else’s shoes, especially politicians. In this essay I would love to jump into the shoes of Curtis Sliwa, a former New York City vigilante who founded the Guardian Angels and is now running as a Republican for mayor of his city.
