Sound Bites GrillSedona AZ (July 16, 2020) – On Saturday night, July 18, the Chris Counelis Jazz Quartet takes the stage at Sound Bites Grill for three sets of incredible jazz!

This quartet features Chris Counelis on saxophone, Jack Peterson (a professor emeritus of jazz) on guitar, two of Sedona’s favorite musicians, Eddie Barittini on drums, and Troy Perkins on bass.

Chris Counelis grew up surrounded by jazz and Big Band music.

While it takes a lot of talent to get into the prestigious Berklee College of Music, it takes even more talent to be accepted there when you are only in high school. That’s exactly what Chris did!

20200716_ChrisandEddieSBGLater, he majored in Jazz Performance at the University of North Texas, crafting his artistry under the guidance of some of the most talented professors in the music industry.

The great news is that you don’t have to go to Boston to hear him at Berklee or Denton to hear him in Texas. Chris has made it easy on all of us—he moved to Sedona so he performs surrounded by the red rocks.

Joining him on stage is Jack Perkins, a professor emeritus (retired professor) of jazz guitar and jazz improvisation. Having taught at Berklee College of Music and University of North Texas, he has touched the lives of many young jazz musicians.

Completing the quartet are Eddie Barittini and Troy Perkins, two of Sedona’s most popular musicians.

Jazz up your Saturday night by listening to a sizzling evening of progressive jazz grooves by this fantastic jazz quartet! There is no cover to see the music but a dinner reservation is required to reserve a table where the band performs.

Sound Bites Grill is a modern day supper club with indoor and outdoor dining. The music is inside their show room and guitar gallery.  The have gorgeous red rock views on their patio. Reservations are recommended especially with the social distancing.

The venue is open for lunch and dinner Wed. thru Sun. opening at 11am daily. They serve dinner until 9 pm and on Fri. and Sat. until 10 p.m. For more information call 928-282-2713 or visit SoundBitesGrill.com
