    Cottonwood Residental Fire

    Verde Valley Fire DistrictCottonwood AZ (July 10, 2020) – On Thursday July 9, 2020, at approximately 9:30 PM, the Verde Valley Fire District responded to the report of a residential assignment in the 700 block of Desert Jewel Dr.

    VVFD was originally dispatched to the report of a vehicle, trailer, and possibly a house on fire. On arrival crews deployed hand lines to the vehicle in order to control the fire’s spread. The fire was contained to just the vehicle and trailer with minimal heat damage to the home.

    Nearby organizations, Cottonwood Fire and Medical, Sedona Fire District, and Verde Valley Ambulance Company sent crews to help with suppression activities. No one was injured. YCSO also had a presence and helped control traffic.
