… this Great Blue Heron was gliding along a rock face down at Watson Lake in Prescott, Arizona. Some of the granite boulders rise more than a hundred feet above the water while others lurk just inches below the water waiting for the unsuspecting boater to cruise up and on top of it snaring the unlucky boat … been there and done that. Still, the shots you can get of both wildlife and scenic beauty are worth the risk. A little rocking of the boat and pushing with paddles is usually enough to get you off the rock … hard to see when the winds and waves are up … easier when the water is calm.

Up to Flagstaff tomorrow for a couple of appointments and looking at new Mercury outboards with a little more oomph than my present one. Maybe a drive up to Snow Bowl too … so much beauty in the area.

This is it for the week and as always the plan is to be back Monday morning. Have a wonderful day and weekend … be yourself and be true to your beliefs,  most people are good and love their fellow human beings and country. This is the greatest country to ever grace this beautiful planet and we have done more good for people than any other nation … we are blessed.

    Keep breathing … keep smiling.

    Excerpts from Desiderata

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and
remember what peace there may be in silence.

As far as possible, without surrender, be on good
    terms with all persons.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to
others, even to the dull and ignorant; they too
    have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are
    vexatious to the spirit.

With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.

    Be cheerful.

    Strive to be happy.
