    logo sedonapubliclibrarySedona AZ (January 2, 2012) – Do you have an idea that could improve the lives of individuals, the community, or even the world? Want to share that idea with the rest of Sedona?

    If so, you may be interested in auditioning for Sedona i-Talks, a program of dynamic 15-minute presentations sponsored by Sedona’s leading adult education organizations, the Sedona Public Library and the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI).

    The “i” stands for “idea.” An “idea talk” is innovative, informative, inspiring, and imaginative. The program will be a forum for Sedona’s most fascinating thinkers and doers, who will share their knowledge and passion with an audience eager to learn and discuss new ideas.

    The event will take place at Sedona Public Library on Saturday, March 24 at 4 p.m.

    Sedona Gift Shop

    An orientation for interested speakers will take place at Sedona Public Library on Saturday, January 14 at 4 p.m. Auditions will be held on Wednesday, March 6to select six speakers for the event.

    OLLI will be providing a seven-session course, led by Paul Friedman, Ph.D., for those interested in assistance preparing their talk. The class will meet Thursdays, beginning January 17, from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. Call 928-649-4275 for more information about the class.

    Whack – A – Mole War

    It looks like the tried-and-true method of armed conflict where armies face each other and kill until somebody wins or gives up, now all it takes is assassinating the leadership Israeli style. We enter a new phase of war where the leaders are killed first rather than last as in conventional warfare.
