I decided to take a flight to the SF peaks this afternoon and experiment some more with the GoPro; also the video lessons on Adobe Premiere at http://lynda.com are helping and I am acquiring a rudimentary working knowledge of the program … soon to come, seamless transitions and music tracks.

The placement of the camera works for some aspects I want, but also need to have a camera on the wing to get the clean and pure view of the mountains and other things I will be shooting. In addition to having a new EFIS put in the Lambada in the morning I’m also having mounts made to take the camera and control it by wi-fi connection from the cockpit.

The video starts with me in the air having just taken off; turn to the NW and the initial climb out; transition to approaching the peaks and one pass and then the cut to the return to the Sedona area with engine off … finally the landing and roll out and off the runway.

Not pleased with quality but will work to improve over the weekend – best to not go full screen with this one.

Need to call it a night as I want to be in the air at sunrise to head down to Falcon Field and Performance One Aviation to get the work done. I love this place, Heath and Tammy who own it, bought the business a number of years ago from his boss; they moved out of the original hanger to a much larger one and just recently took over another hanger … business is booming for them, but then when you offer a quality product/service and treat your customers right you will always do well … and they do!

Into the weekend … back Monday morning. Have a joyful weekend and enjoy those you choose to be with … and

At nightfall…though I know I shall sometime no more
Open my eyes to the light or day, I am one who looks at stars when
Unchained from the work-bench at Nightfall.
They are a sign that I am not ephemeral,
Not you, nor you, whoever you are.
The dawn comes and the dark and the sign sparkling in the brooding night,
    Forever and forever.

    Beatles Tribute at Blazin’ M

I can honestly say, having grown up in the Bronx in the 60s, that if it had not been for the Beatles I most likely would have grown up to be a criminal or been killed in a violent gang war.
