… today was one of those days that has to come along every once in a while that helps define the truly good days. Kind of a minor disaster in many regards, but it all ended up okay. After picking up another bag of premium food for our birds and some wax to do the plane it looked like I might be able to get a 20 or 30 minutes flight in before sunset. Quick shot up to the airport and about 5:30PM it was into the air and got some good stuff. I also was using the GoPro and I’m pretty happy with what I got.

After a lot of frustration I finally got a lot of stuff trimmed  and a video that starts just before I turned the engine off. The throttle comes out from just below the instrument panel and it is a turn for fine adjustments and push pull for the major changes and you will see me making a few adjustments before I turn it off. The I do some more shooting before finally coming in for a landing. Much more view without a passenger on board and I’m working on a device to attach it to the wing which I think will yield some pretty cool footage.  The shot attached to this email is one I took while the engine was off. It was a nice sled ride and the issues I am having with editing software will be taken care of … just the getting there … here is a link to the new video and hope you like it.

The photo has the Uptown area on the left and Oak Creek runs up and to the left in shadow … the red rocks? Perhaps the nuns? They’re beautiful anyhow and mercifully they don’t care about names either.

Really late and need to put a wrap on it … good morning  Dick :+)

Into the weekend, share your joy, don’t mess with video editing and keep your sanity … smiles … many of them!

    Back Monday … cheers

So each one to his wish, and as for me,
    I sit tonight and wait
To find the answers to my soul in me,
And in the beauty of the sky and sea.

It Takes a Lifetime and Sometimes Even More

    By Amaya  Gayle

Sedona, AZ — It takes a lifetime (perhaps lifetimes) of stretching and expanding, ripping and tearing, just to move through one’s predispositions, to meet one’s inbred resistance and evolve to the grace of simple tolerance. During this precious part of the journey, it feels like you are taking the steps, are choosing right, left or straight ahead, that you are in the game.
