By Ted Grussing
… and so one fine September morning this year I took to the skies, played in the clouds and relaxed. I took this photograph on the way back in around 10:30 in the morning. The view is from somewhere SW of the airport looking to the SW … in the lower left quadrant you have the Cockscomb formation and below middle right side you have Enchantment Resort in Boynton Canyon … further out are Black and Casner Mountains and on the other side of them is Sycamore Canyon and heading out to the horizon the Chino Valley.
A very nice weekend, quiet on Saturday and pretty quiet today too. Finished treating some beautiful Andamooka treating matrix (opal) and it came out very nice, lots of maintenance stuff around the house and dinner with friends. Flying again in the morning and then will be getting all the calendars shipped that I have orders for.
Discovered that Facebook is really not for me so I deactivated my membership … thanks to everyone that liked my stuff on FB. This week finds me diving headfirst into my book and will be staying there until done … well of course there will always be the break for flying and Thursday my new Canon 7D MK II will arrive so need to try that out at the ponds. Understand it is noiseless in the ISO range I will be shooting and it will be the only crop sensor in the collection. Hopefully the Northerns have begun arriving at the ponds.
Enjoy the day, share a few smiles … life is good
Ted
A bird flies through the sky, and I fly with it. I am each pearl of moisture sparkling in the sun.
I lie lazy on the clouds. And I acknowledge my kinship with each winged thing.
I see all as one, and nothing repels me, as this new day climbs noiselessly out of the valley of the night.
Peace lies over the world and over the world of my soul.
