    summer meals for kids at OPEN SITES

    Sedona AZ (June 4, 2014) – Yavapai Food Council announces the sponsorship of Summer Food Service Program for Children at closed enrollment sites throughout Yavapai County.  Meals will be provided to all eligible children, ages 18 and under, free of charge at the summer programs listed.  Children who are part of a household receiving Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), or benefits under the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR), or Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) are automatically eligible to receive free meals.

    Acceptance and participation requirements for the Program and all activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of meals service.  Meals will be provided to children on a first come first serve basis at the following sites as follows:

    Sedona Charter School: 
    165 Kachina Drive, Sedona, AZ  86336, 928-204-6464
    Monday thru Friday; June 4th – August 1st, 2014 
    Closed June 30th, July 3rd through July 25th, 2014
     Breakfast:  8:30am – 9am; Lunch:  11:45am – 12:15pm 

    Sedona YMCA:

    Monday thru Friday; June 4th – August 1, 2014 
    Closed July 3rd & 4th
    Breakfast:  9am – 9:30am; unch:  12pm – 12:30pm

    West Sedona Elementary Summer School:

    Monday thru Thursday; June 4th – June 26th, 2014
    Breakfast:  8:30am – 9am; Lunch:  11:30am – 12pm

    St Germaine Catholic Church Vacation Bible Study:

    Monday thru Friday; June 16th  – June 20th, 2014
    Lunch:  10:45am – 11:40am

    Yavapai College Youth Volleyball Camp:

    Monday thru Thursday; June 9th – June 12th, 2014
    Lunch:  12pm – 12:45pm

    Volunteers that would like to assist Yavapai Food Council in the delivery of these meals should contact Amy Aossey at 928-254-8172.

    If you wish to file a Civil Rights program complaint of discrimination, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, found online at http://www.ascr.usda.gov/complaint_filing_cust.html, or at any USDA office or call (866) 632-9992 to request the form.  You may also write a letter containing all of the information requested in the form.  Send you completed complaint form or letter to us by mail at U.S. Department of Agriculture, Director, Office of Adjudication, 1400 Independence Avenue, S.W., Washington, D.C. 20250-9410, by faxt (202) 690-7442 or email at program.intake@usda.gov.
