DEMOCRATS HOST “Statewide Candidates and Congressional Campaign Updates” in PERSON and at HOME

    Friday, July 17, 9:30 am – 11:00 am

Sedona, AZ — The Democrats of the Red Rocks (DORR) host “Statewide Candidates and Congressional Campaign Updates,” with Attorney General Kris Mayes, Secretary of State Adrian Fontes, and CD2 Congressional Candidate Jonathan Nez on Friday, July 17, 9:30 to 11:00 am at the Sedona Community Center, 2615 Melody Lane in West Sedona and on zoom. Candidates will discuss their policy agendas and answer questions.

Attorney General Kris Mayes is Arizona’s top law enforcement officer.  As former Chair of the AZ Corporation Commission, she saved Arizona citizens billions of dollars, while advocating for clean sources of energy. Born and raised in Arizona, Mayes holds a degree in political science and journalism from Arizona State University (ASU), a Masters of Public Administration from Columbia University, and a law degree from ASU.  Elected as Arizona’s 21st Secretary of State in 2022, Adrian Fontes is an Arizona native, veteran of the United States Marine Corps, attorney, and former Maricopa County Recorder.  Fontes is a defender of voting rights, committed to preserving integrity in our elections, and making it easier for registered voters to cast their ballots.  Jonathan Nez began his public service at age 29 as Vice President of the Shonto Chapter.  As President from 2019 to 2023, Nez guided the Navajo Nation through the COVID-19 pandemic while expanding healthcare, housing for veterans, public safety, and infrastructure, including improvements to roads and access to clean water and electricity for thousands of residents.

A $10 donation is requested per person for in-person coffee, tea, and light refreshments.  A zoom option is also available.

DORR is an all-volunteer Democratic Club for Sedona, the Village of Oak Creek, the Verde Valley, and surrounding communities that welcomes all independent-minded citizens. For more information, please visit https://democratsoftheredrocks.org/.
