Dave Koz and the Summer Horns bring your favorite horn band hits of the ‘70s to Jim & Linda Lee Performing Arts Center
Prescott, Arizona (August 13, 2025) – The Jim & Linda Lee Performing Arts Center invites you to The Ultimate Summer Party! Dave Koz and the Summer Horns are coming to town to deliver the timeless horn-band hits of the ’70s! From “Earth, Wind & Fire” to “Chicago”, “Tower of Power,” and beyond. Dave Koz is bringing the vintage feel-good horn music to the stage on Thursday night, August 21, at 7 p.m.

The Jim & Linda Lee Performing Arts Center is proud to kick off the 2025-2026 presenting season with celebrated American saxophonist and composer Dave Koz. In a career that spans more than three decades of numerous world tours, studio recordings and preforming for multiple presidents, Koz has collected a mass array of awards, achievements and honors including: nine GRAMMY® nominations, nine No. 1 albums on Billboard’s Current Contemporary Jazz Albums chart, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Joining Koz this year will be Marcus Anderson, Jeff Bradshaw, Leo P, Evan Taylor, and Marcel Anderson. This end of summer concert will feature songs from each artist’s catalog plus material from 2013’s Dave Koz and Friends Summer Horns and 2018’s Summer Horns II From A to Z. Both albums debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Current Contemporary Jazz Albums chart.

Dave Koz is a celebrated American saxophonist, composer, and radio host, widely recognized for his contributions to smooth jazz. Born in 1963 in Encino, California, he began playing the saxophone in his youth and quickly rose to prominence in the late 1980s, touring with artists like Bobby Caldwell and Richard Marx. His solo career took off with his 1990 debut album and has since led to numerous chart-topping albums, Grammy nominations, and collaborations with icons such as Celine Dion, Stevie Nicks, and Barry Manilow. Koz’s engaging stage presence and musical versatility have made him a staple in contemporary jazz, while his popular syndicated radio show and annual Dave Koz & Friends At Sea cruises have expanded his influence beyond music. With a legacy built on innovation, collaboration, and a passion for performance, Dave Koz remains one of jazz’s most enduring and influential figures.
The Summer Horns band members that will bring the ’70s heat with their brass are: Marcus Anderson is a Grammy and Stellar Award-nominated saxophonist, composer, and producer from Spartanburg, South Carolina. Jeff Bradshaw is a Philadelphia-born trombonist renowned for his fusion of jazz, R&B, and hip-hop. Leo P (Leo Pellegrino) is a Pittsburgh-born baritone saxophonist renowned for his dynamic performances that blend jazz, funk, and dance. Evan Taylor is a versatile trumpet artist from Ludington, Michigan, whose musical journey began in church and has since expanded into jazz, R&B, gospel, hip-hop, and beyond. Marcel Anderson is a neo-soul and contemporary gospel artist from Spartanburg, South Carolina.
