    Youth Auditions July 21

Sedona, AZ – A whirlwind of theatrical magic is coming to Sedona as the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) rolls into town on Saturday, July 20, bringing everything needed to stage a full-scale production—except the cast!

Auditions for “The Snow Queen” will be held on Monday, July 21, with registration starting at 9:00 AM at West Sedona School. Local youth, grades 1 through 12, are invited to audition. No preparation is required—just show up, ready to have fun! Up to 60 roles are available, including up to four Assistant Director positions. Those auditioning must arrive before 10:00 AM and stay for the full two-hour session. The first rehearsal begins just 15 minutes after auditions conclude.

Daily rehearsals will take place throughout the week. While not all cast members will be needed at every session, participants must have a clear schedule and commit to all required rehearsals. A detailed schedule will be provided after auditions. Cast members in longer rehearsals should bring a sack lunch or snack.

Two performances of The Snow Queen will take place on Friday, July 26 at 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM, also at West Sedona School. Tickets are $15 for adults (18+), or attendees may bring a canned food donation for the Sedona Food Bank.

The week will also include three free enrichment workshops, open to all, at 2:30 PM on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, featuring sessions in acting, mime, and improvisation.

Presented by the Rotary Club of Sedona Village, with support from Rotary District 5495, Sedona Public Library, and Sedona Parks and Recreation, this exciting residency is further made possible through generous in-kind support from Sedona Oak Creek School District and Arabella Sedona, who are hosting MCT’s tour team.

MCT is the nation’s largest touring children’s theatre, producing original adaptations of classic tales in more than 1,000 communities each year. This is a unique opportunity for local youth to build creativity, confidence, communication skills—and lifelong memories.

Pre-register today via the Sedona Parks and Recreation Summer Camp webpage. For questions, contact Rob Schaefer at (310) 463-7732 or Jennette Bill at (928) 301-1363.
