Sedona News – Attention all junior historians!  The Sedona Heritage Museum is excited to announce that we now offer the popular Agents of Discovery game for you to play during your visit.

Agents of Discovery is an app-based educational game.  Using a mobile device, junior historians (and their parents) tackle eight challenges, which make up a mission, across the grounds of the Sedona Heritage Museum.  By completing all the challenges players will earn a prize and learn a few things about Sedona’s history.

The game is intended for children, but people of all ages will enjoy playing.  A training session with Museum volunteers resulted in plenty of smiles and laughs, as well as the comment “I’m going to download this and play it during my shift!”  The app is free to download and play.

“Agents of Discovery is a fun and innovative way for families to engage with Sedona’s history,” said the Museum’s Executive Director Nate Meyers.  “We’re really excited about providing an interactive experience for our visitors.”

Once you’ve downloaded Agents of Discovery app you can discover missions all over the world, including play-from-anywhere challenges.

According to Agents of Discovery, the app is an “augmented reality experience that gets you active and engaged in learning about the world around you. With Agents of Discovery, you become a top-secret Agent, dedicated to solving mysteries about science, culture, technology, history, nature and much more…”

The Sedona Historical Society operates the Sedona Heritage Museum located in Jordan Historical Park, 735 Jordan Road in Uptown Sedona, Arizona.  Open daily 11 am – 3 pm.  For more information call 928-282-7038 or visit www.sedonamuseum.org.
