Sedona News – Walk anywhere in our community and you’ll see caring dog owners leashed to their pets and cleaning up after them.  How remarkable that such a devoted bond exists between these humans and their beloved canines (and felines).

However, some people extend their love for animals much further. They think all animals are worthy of our thoughtful consideration and kindness.

One is Chris Seeholzer, a long-time Sedona resident with a deep compassion for all beings.  She volunteers at a sanctuary for abused horses and farm animals.  She will speak about what we all can do to reduce animal suffering, promote ecological justice, and treat more of our animal relatives with the caring they deserve.

Seeholzer’s talk will be at the Sedona Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (SUUF), on Sunday morning, October 27 at 10:00 a.m., held in the sanctuary of the JCSVV Synagogue at 100 Meadowlark Drive, on Route 179, in Sedona, next to the Fire Station.  Everyone is welcome.

    Ode to Sleeplessness

    By Amaya Gayle Gregory

I sleep well most nights. This is something relatively new for me. For many years, I was a raging insomniac. I didn’t sleep well last night and found myself meditating around 4am, not so much to get to sleep but for something to pass the time.
