    VVFD Rescues Man with Broken Leg

    logo_verdevalleyfiredistrictCottonwood AZ (September 26, 2017) – On September 25th approximately 11:00 pm Verde Valley Fire District (VVFD) responded to a rescue assignment for a 26 year old man down near Washburn Bridge off of 260 and MP 210.  The assignment was reported as man with an apparent a broken leg.  

    Upon arrival Crews found the man approximately 75 feet down a steep and rough embankment near the wash.  Crews were able to reach the patient and assess his condition to reveal lower extremity factures.  The patient was treated, stabilized, and packaged in a stokes basket and carried out to a waiting ambulance.  He was transported to Verde Valley Medical Center.

    Assisting VVFD was Verde Valley Ambulance Company, Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, and Cottonwood PD.
