    Verde Valley Humane SocietyCottonwood AZ (May 5, 2021) – The Verde Valley Humane Society (VVHS) announces the appointment of Cheryl Southall Ross to its Board of Directors.

    “We are pleased to welcome Cheryl Ross to the VVHS Board of Directors,” said Victoria Bresnan, Board President. “VVHS’s mission is to humanely provide for and protect unwanted, lost and abused animals; and to promote animal welfare through its policies and presence in the community.”

    Cheryl S. Ross is an attorney with the Southall Ross Law Firm located in the Village of Oak Creek. Ross joins Victoria Bresnan, President; Michelle Dubé, Vice President; Amber Polo, Secretary; Jill Iurato, Treasurer; Bill Larsen, Angie Lozano, and Alice Klies.

    The Verde Valley Humane Society is a non-profit organization whose goal is to provide a healthy, caring environment for our shelter animals until they are adopted or returned to their owners. We are dedicated to the animals and people of our community. VVHS also currently provides sheltering services for the City of Cottonwood, Town of Clarkdale, and unincorporated Yavapai County including the Village of Oak Creek.

    What is a life anyway? A single “life?” Is it nothing more than a collection of emotions and thoughts, reverberating pain and pleasure, hopes, dreams and fear? Are we merely meat; flesh and blood creations encapsulating what we believe is a soul? Or is a single life the microcosm and macrocosm of human life on earth, each one of us a unique representation of who we believe we are and the whole of humanity at once? We are born. We grow old.
