… going smaller and dropping into the inner world of flowers … complex and beauty beyond belief … all it takes is to grow, pluck or buy a flower, take a seat and begin to delve into the inner most sanctums of the bloom in your hand.

Flowers have always been among my favorite subjects to shoot and especially to go down into the blooms and the mysterious beauty that is in each flower … you can get lost in there and sometimes the escape into these wondrous forms of life will keep you there long after it has gone.

Loved the stormy weather today and being inside, I finished some beautiful stones including a dark crystal opal with brilliant colors and patterns … think I’ll photograph it and we can explore the inner beauty of stone on Monday morning.

Into the weekend for me, but first, a friend is bringing my favorite cake in the world over in the morning and whilst his wife is hiking we will be creating a reason for us to do so too. What is it? An angel food cake, hollowed out and filled with chocolate whipped cream … put back together and then buried in more chocolate whipped cream. My history with that cake goes back to the 60’s when Cork began making them as my birthday cake … I even got to lick the beaters and bowl.

Have a beautiful day and weekend … whatever you have planned, live! You are here.

    Smiles,

    Ted

Love some one—in God’s name love some one—
for this is the bread of the inner life, without which
a part of you will starve and die; and though you feel
you must be stern, even hard, in your life of affairs,
make for yourself at least a little corner, somewhere
in the great world, where you may unbosom and be kind.
