… it was a great day for the elimination of a thousand or so images and increased organization of the photographs … a few moments of I can’t do this anymore to jumping back in with a scythe. Reality has sunk in and it will likely take me a year to get the portfolio in a healthy condition … more shoots will see 95% deletion rates.

The photo of the Morning Glory above was taken years ago during a morning walk in a light rain … the patch which was located between the 14th green and Red Rock Cove Road was cleaned out a long time ago by the golf course, but they live on in my portfolio 🙂 Something special about the way they seem to have a self generating glow.

The image below was taken from near the end of runway 21 at the N end of the airport in Sedona … closed off to the public a quiet view of the beauty that is Sedona … looking to the NE and the Sedona Mittens formation is on the left side and a portion of Munds Mountain on the right … the overlook at the top of Schnebly Hill Rd is roughly on the rim at the midway point between the two.

Into the weekend … have fun, seek beauty, smile and be kind … last but not least, keep breathing 🙂

And whether or not it is clear to you, no
doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you
conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors
and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep
peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery
and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be
    cheerful. Strive to be happy.

    Ode to Sleeplessness

    By Amaya Gayle Gregory

I sleep well most nights. This is something relatively new for me. For many years, I was a raging insomniac. I didn’t sleep well last night and found myself meditating around 4am, not so much to get to sleep but for something to pass the time.
