… wow, another week in the history books for each of us … where were we, what did we do? Help someone? Smile? Find the humor in life? I hope so, because it is truly such a special place and the privilege of being here to enjoy all that is and to dream on what has been and what yet may come … each day we get to choose what kind of day it will be for us!

I love the series of shots (several hundred} that I captured of the Crows as they frolicked in the backyard (11th tee box) that one afternoon and I got some of the best crow shots I have ever gotten. They are actually engaged in a mating ritual and not immersed in conflict. I think we do it better 🙂

Below is a shot I got of a Killdeer when last I was on Lake Pleasant … like other creatures in nature he was foraging for his daily food … no Bashas or Safeway’s for them, no division of labor, they do it all. Nice to be human and have all the thousands of generations that preceded us and passed on learned skills. Crows and Ravens create and use tools … wonder where they will be in a thousand years?

Have an absolutely wonderful first weekend of May … smile, keep breathing and enjoy each day you are granted! Back Monday morning; at least that is the plan.

    Cheers,

    Ode to Sleeplessness

    By Amaya Gayle Gregory

I sleep well most nights. This is something relatively new for me. For many years, I was a raging insomniac. I didn’t sleep well last night and found myself meditating around 4am, not so much to get to sleep but for something to pass the time.
