    … the two hen common mergansers above were flying low and extremely fast as they cruised low over the lake and they reminded me of the F-18’s flying low over the water in Top Gun Maverick, as they approached landfall and headed inland to their target. No such actions were contemplated by our merganser friends … I think … among the fastest flying ducks, they have been clocked at 81 mph. A couple of very cool birds.

    The shot below is sky reflections near sunset on the lake between the 10th and 18th holes on our golf course … the art of nature always with us no matter where we are … just have to look for it.

    The presentation tonight was wonderfully received and despite the weather it was well attended. Thanks to the Sedona Gem and Mineral Club for having me there. I do presentations to many groups and if you would like me to present to your group please let me know. Next planned presentation is to the Padre Trails Camera Club, Monterey, California on May 3rd. The club was established in 1948 and continuously active since that date. I love that part of the world and am looking forward to it.

    Time to wrap the day as yet another new day is underway … have the beautiful day that you want … only you can choose to make it happen!

    Cheers,

    Ted

    I bring but this one common thought
    My life has wrought;
    That from the dregs of drear despair
    Still everywhere
    There is a joy I yet may sip—
    ‘Tis comradeship
    With all mankind, the high and low
    I know.

    Beatles Tribute at Blazin’ M

    I can honestly say, having grown up in the Bronx in the 60s, that if it had not been for the Beatles I most likely would have grown up to be a criminal or been killed in a violent gang war.
