    … I like early summer mornings on the lake … leave Sedona in the dark and launch in Lake Pleasant as the sun is beginning to come up and illuminate the lake … life begins as the birds and critters roll out to assess the new day. Above is a photo of a Turkey Vulture at 6:15 AM, perched on a tree branch rising from the lake … looks like he is soaking up rays before he begins the search for food.

    Below is a Great Blue Heron at 7:21 AM, flying out over the water to check out a school of bait fish a few hundred feet from shore … it turned into a feeding frenzy with dozens of Great Blue Herons,Egrets and more joined in for a bountiful meal … the fish were near the surface getting their own food … and then they became food 🙂 It is so nice being at the top of the food chain … all we have to be concerned abut are other humans.

    Have a beautiful day and take a look around and discover all the beauty that surrounds us … and we’re part of it all, how great is that!

    Cheers

    Ted

    I ponder o’er myself, indifferently just,
    Breathless in the roaring sea of time.—
    Let me forgive much, forget more;
    Let me close my eyes and fall half asleep,
    That the pictures may grow softer and stiller,
    And the life, O thou God! again grow gentle.

    Beatles Tribute at Blazin’ M

    I can honestly say, having grown up in the Bronx in the 60s, that if it had not been for the Beatles I most likely would have grown up to be a criminal or been killed in a violent gang war.
