National Alliance on Mental Illness - YavapaiVerde Valley News – Have you or a loved one experienced trauma? What do you know about trauma? Join us for our next Mental Health Monday program which will take place via Zoom on August 29th, 10:00 to 11:30 AM, and will feature our speaker, Dawn McReynolds, who will discuss trauma basics and how COVID has increased trauma for many people.

Dawn is originally from Detroit, Michigan, where she transitioned from working for a non-profit organization to founding one in 2003.  She brings her personal experience and deep understanding to all she does as a member of received services in the behavioral health system.

Dawn leads the UnitedHealthCare Community Plan’s OIFA (Office of Individual and Family Affairs) team. The OIFA team works collaboratively with lived experience members and family members to gather the voice and experience of our community to enhance, improve and remove barriers to services for all those we serve.
