A Not So Great Debate

It’s pretty much obvious to any astute political observer that the Harris/Trump debate was a draw. Both delivered their lines with certainty, and both scored points, but at the end of the day, it’s not going to move Independents from one position to another. But the most poignant point that might have moved the needle a bit away from Trump was when he claimed the illegal migrants allowed into the country by Biden and Harris were eating household pets. Dogs and cats to be specific. So, they are killing and raping women and children and taking over entire communities with guns and all kinds of automatic weapons and now eating puppies and kittens? Talk about fear mongering. Now we have to walk our pets, looking all around us for armed and hungry migrants waiting to barbecue them? Of course not. It was a stupid thing to say. Fear mongering can only be taken so far before people simply stop believing you. Another observation was that Trump never looked at Harris after the handshake, as if she did not exist.
