City of Sedona ArizonaSedona AZ (May 1, 2015) – The popular Splash Park is open daily now through September 30 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for children to enjoy at Sunset Park.

This 1,900 square foot splash park features 8 ground sprays and 5 above grade spray features.  All spray features are on a timer that when activated turn on the water using three different spray sequences.  This efficiently uses the water and keeps children having fun and guessing where the water comes out next.

It is designed to be safe and all-ages friendly by having zero depth water accumulation. Toddlers can play in the water without having to be held by parents.  The play areas and water features are appropriate for children of different ages and heights.  There is a toddler bay in one corner and larger water features spread throughout for the older kids.

The Splash Park, playground, and grass fields make this a perfect location for birthday parties.  Two shaded picnic ramadas are available for rental at $10 per hour.  These ramadas can be reserved months in advance, so schedule your event now through Sedona Parks and Recreation.

Grab your swim suit and sunscreen and head over to Sunset Park, 655 Sunset Drive, to check out this fun playground.  Additional parking is available along Shelby Drive, just a short walk along the existing sidewalk and over the bridge.  For more information, please call Parks and Recreation at (928) 282-7098.

What is a life anyway? A single “life?” Is it nothing more than a collection of emotions and thoughts, reverberating pain and pleasure, hopes, dreams and fear? Are we merely meat; flesh and blood creations encapsulating what we believe is a soul? Or is a single life the microcosm and macrocosm of human life on earth, each one of us a unique representation of who we believe we are and the whole of humanity at once? We are born. We grow old. We die. Everything we experience is but a dream between those two points. Or are we manifestations of a Divine Creator, every one of us complete in the image that we were made? So, we are told.
