    Sedona Heritage Museum Announces Re-opening of Kids Korral and Touchscreens

    Sedona Heritage MuseumSedona AZ (May 5, 2021) – The Sedona Heritage Museum announces that they are re-opening several educational and interactive amenities after closure during the COVID pandemic.

    The popular Kids Korral will reopen, giving children a chance to sit on a saddle, dress up in Old West costumes and engage in some educational activities, including designing their own livestock brand. This area is also a great place for group photos.

    20210505_KidsKorralThe interactive touchscreen monitors in the Historic Fruit Packing Shed and the Telegraph Office have also re-opened. Museum guests are provided with a personal, recyclable paper stylus upon admission. They can safely use these to interact with the monitors. In the Shed there are choices of videos on local history themes, a wine timeline and a virtual tour of the Schuerman vineyard and winery. In the Telegraph Office, with the stroke of the stylus, visitors can view clips from old movies made in Sedona and the story of the Telegraph Office itself.

    The Sedona Heritage Museum is in Jordan Historical Park at 735 Jordan Rd in Uptown Sedona, AZ.  Hours are 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., daily. For more information, call 928-282-7038.  sedonamuseum.org.

    A Bad Moon Rising

    What the hell is going on? Is the fabric of society in the U.S. tearing apart at the seams? Watching those videos of teens gone wild, smashing windows, stealing from shopping centers, laughing while running over bicyclists — an omen of things to come? What can be done? Catch them? Incarcerate them. Put them in jails until they learn enough about crime to come out as skilled criminals? These kids, these young men and women of color, are growing wild in the streets. From fatherless homes, unable to properly read or write, a dismal and destitute future ahead of them. What is going to happen when they reach adulthood? The cops can’t stop them. There are simply too many. They can flash mob a phalanx of cops and just run berserk around them. What are the police to do? Shoot them? Read more→
