Airport Manager Mac McCall Gives the Back Story on the Incident

Sedona, AZ (June 2, 2011) – An aviation accident occurred at Sedona Airport on May 27, 2011, at approximately 3:00 p.m. when a landing private  jet over ran the runway, crashed through a fence, slid down the hillside and came to rest approximately 300 below the end of the runway. The passengers and pilot suffered minor injuries, while the aircraft was severely damaged. No one at the airport was injured and there was no fire. The plane sat in the brush below the end of the runway for 6 days before being removed by a helicopter crane to the tarmac at the airport. The aircraft was then dismantled and transported by truck to a facility where it can be fully inspected. The NTSB (National transportation Safety Board) is investigating the accident to determine the cause of the accident.

Prior to the dispute they had been friendly but now they had become arch enemies, all for a tiny piece of land. Read more→
