Arizona News – The Arizona NonProfit Awards (ANPA) announces its official launch as a nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring and empowering nonprofits across the state. Inspired by a love for philanthropy and fueled by years of experience in corporate marketing, valley mom Elizabeth Santa Cruz founded ANPA to amplify the impact of nonprofits and celebrate their invaluable contributions to Arizona’s communities.

20250214 ANPA“There are many fantastic awards programs throughout AZ, but nothing focused on the diverse and important work of our local nonprofit organizations,” said Santa Cruz. “Throughout my career, I’ve seen firsthand the incredible value that nonprofits bring to their communities – and I’ve also seen how difficult it can be for them to gain the resources and recognition they deserve. ANPA is my way of bringing visibility and support to them all over Arizona.”

ANPA’s mission is rooted in collaboration and innovation. Drawing on principles from philanthropist Dan Pallotta’s advocacy for sustainable funding and modern approaches to nonprofit management, ANPA aims to provide nonprofits with the recognition, tools, and resources needed to thrive. Through an annual awards gala, ANPA will celebrate organizations of all sizes and causes, awarding cash prizes to winners – with a goal of paying forward over $50,000 to the local nonprofit community in its first year.

In addition to the awards program, ANPA’s founder is visiting and interviewing nonprofits and community leaders across Arizona, highlighting the inspiring work happening locally in an inspiring video series crafted for social sharing. These stories will help showcase the unique challenges, triumphs, and contributions of our nonprofits – giving them the extra visibility they deserve, and helping encourage greater community awareness and support.

To get all of this rolling, ANPA is currently seeking their Founding Title Sponsor and community partners. “This is a unique opportunity to be a founding partner of what will quickly become an important Arizona nonprofit initiative,” said Santa Cruz. The first Arizona NonProfit Awards Gala is planned for late 2025, with nominations opening soon. ANPA invites businesses, community leaders, and supporters to join this movement by sponsoring the event, nominating their favorite nonprofits, or volunteering.

About ANPA: The Arizona NonProfit Awards (ANPA) envisions a thriving nonprofit sector across Arizona, where organizations of all sizes are recognized, supported, and celebrated for their impactful contributions. With an emphasis on collaboration and innovation, ANPA seeks to empower nonprofits to achieve sustainability and create lasting change. Visit www.aznonprofitawards.org to learn more or to donate.
