    MATFORCE Offers Training: Understanding Complications for Returning War Veterans

    logo MATForceVerde Valley AZ (March 28, 2012) – MATFORCE is offering a low-cost training, called “Homecoming” that will focus on understanding the stress and complications for returning war veterans and how their families and communities can support their reintegration.

    The training will be held on April 2nd, from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, at the Prescott Resort, 1500 Highway 69 in Prescott.

    Keynote Speaker and retired U.S. Army Mental Health Nurse and Psychological Director, LTC Cynthia Rasmussen, RN, MSN, CANP, USAR, will focus on Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and substance abuse issues related to both male and female veterans and how our community can support veteran reintegration. The training will include presentations by representatives of various organizations that provide services and support veterans and their families.

    The conference cost is $25 for individuals and $30 for families. A Certificate of Attendance will be provided. To register go online to matforce.org or call 928-708-0100.
