City of Sedona ArizonaSedona AZ (September 26, 2017) – Come enjoy fall in Sedona at the annual Pumpkin Splash on Sunday, Oct. 22 from 1 to 3 p.m. The Sedona Community Pool will be home to 300 pumpkins ready for the picking, right out of the water. There will be swimming, organized games on deck with prizes, pumpkin decorating, bobbing for apples, a giant sling shot challenge, treats for sale, goodie bags, and at the end, a pumpkin for everyone participating to take home. Enjoy Trunk-Or-Treat, by SummitLIFE, featuring decorated car trunks outside the gates of the pool from which kids can safely trick or treat between 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

This unique event is fun for all ages and is limited to the first 300 participants. Everyone entering the pool facility, adults and children alike, will be charged $5, which includes a pumpkin to take home. Note that all non-swimmers must be accompanied by an adult in the water.

Symbols enable us to access aspects of our existence that cannot be accessed in any other way. Symbols are used in all facets of human endeavor. One can only feel sorry for those who cannot comprehend the government’s response to the breech of the capital on January 6, with many, even pundits, claiming it was only a peaceful occupation. Regardless if one sees January 6 as a full-scale riot/insurrection or simply patriotic Americans demonstrating as is their right, the fact is the individuals involved went against a symbol, and this could not be allowed or go unpunished.
