Families can enjoy live music from Tommy Rocks and the Jerome Ukulele Orchestra from 1 to 3 p.m. Watch the apple sorting machinery run in the historical Apple Packing Shed. Kids of all ages can make a scarecrow, create a lavender wand in the Homestead Demonstration Garden, or earn their Junior Ranger badge.

Slide Rock State Park began as a working apple orchard. Today, its agricultural legacy continues. The orchard is still a working commercial apple ranch that features an original vintage 30-foot-long apple sorting machine reconstructed by volunteers, still in the historic Pendley apple shed.

    Compassion Has no Party

Whether you are Republican or Democrat, liberal or conservative, one truth remains: the vast majority of people on this planet are, at their core, decent. They believe in fairness, in dignity, and in the simple idea that other human beings matter.
