Erev Shabbat services begin at 5:30 pm on Friday, October 25, led by Rabbi Alicia Magal. Simchat Torah will be celebrated when we will read from the very last verses of the Torah telling of the death of Moses, and then begin again from the first verses of Genesis describing Creation, in the never-ending cycle of Torah reading. Each new year of studying the Five Books of the Torah brings new insights and deeper understanding. This holiday of beginning the reading cycle of the Torah over again will be celebrated along with Sabbath songs and prayers. Healing blessings enable people to pray for those we love who are ill and Kaddish offers mourners the opportunity to say the Mourners’ Prayer supported by community. A festive Oneg of refreshments will be offered after the service.
Meditation class led by Rabbi Magal and Rosalie Malter will be held on Wednesday, October 30 at 4:00 pm on zoom.
Torah study, led by Rabbi Magal, will be held on Thursday, October 31 at 4:00 pm on zoom to read and discuss Noach, (Genesis 6.9 – 11:32, the story of Noah and the Flood.
