    The Back Story of Dementia

Sedona, AZ (May 26, 2012) – One of the biggest challenges of dementia is caring for those who are afflicted. As the disease advances, more and more care is needed until finally the patient needs 24 hour a day attention. For many, the expense of full time care is too much to bear. The Sedona Sunrise Center for Adults offers an alternative: adult day care. Here, patients (they’re called participants at Sedona Sunrise Center) can spend time engaged in brain stimulating activities under supervision, while those who have been caretakers are relieved and free to enjoy their own lives outside the home.

This 16 minute video takes the viewer on a journey of discovery through a typical day in adult day care. Laugh and cry with us as we learn about dementia up close and personal and we are reminded that even dementia sufferers and their caregivers can have a nice day, too.  And it provides a glimpse into what may lie ahead for all of us.

      Stephen,

This type of unconditional loving is the energy that allows this planet to maintain itself. Magnificent spirit beings which are powerful creators are animating bodies collectively known as “Mankind” and contributing collectively without general awareness of “How it Works”, and certainly those with dementia are contributing by giving the opportunity, through their condition, for others to “GIVE” unconditional love! What an opportunity by every one involved to create the highest vibration and energy. There is much more than meets the eye in this type of story. Certainly, everything is beautiful in its own way! And this too is Bringing the World to The Party of One and ONENESS! Love it!

No matter what the circumstances we can say without a doubt that WE ARE ONE!

      Wonderful,, much love and appreciation!

The Sad Lesson of Tyre Nichols
    By Tommy Acosta
Having grown up in the mean streets of the Bronx there is one lesson we learn early on, and that’s don’t mess with the cops when they got you down, and outnumbered. The beating of Tyre Nichols at the hands of the police preceding his death at the hospital could have been avoided if only he had the sense to not resist them. People fail to understand that on the streets, cops are basically “God.” You can’t fight them. If it takes one, two, five, ten or twenty officers they will eventually put you down and hurt you if they have to in the process of detaining or arresting you. In the Bronx we would fight amongst ourselves but when the cops came it was “Yes, officer. No, officer,” and do our best to look as innocent as possible. People need to understand that cops on the street represent the full power of the state and government. Read more→
