This special concert is in celebration of what would have been John Lennon’s 85th birthday.

Drew Harrison presents a loving, emotionally charged retrospective of the life and career of one of the most popular artists of all time, told through stories and songs from The Beatles years through the final recordings of his life.

Gifted with the most natural, effortless Lennon voice in the music world, Harrison has been performing John’s songs and weaving the tales and anecdotes that go along with them for nearly two decades.

The world knows John Lennon — The Beatle. After the breakup of The Beatles, John performed live on a handful of occasions but, unlike the other three Beatles, would never have the chance to seriously tour. In interviews given in 1980, with the release of the Double Fantasy album, John spoke of going on tour again.

“In the Spirit of Lennon” is Drew Harrison’s intimate acoustic tribute to John Lennon, and interpretation of his music. Accompanied on piano by Tommy Cosentino, Drew goes beyond just sounding like Lennon, capturing the intensity and delicate honesty that Lennon brought to the music of The Beatles, as well as his post-Beatles work between 1970-1980.

There is so much about John Lennon that people may not know. Hear Lennon’s songs as Lennon intended, and the stories behind them!

This special concert is generously sponsored by Susan Valletta and Eddie Washkin, Jr.

“In The Spirit of Lennon: An Intimate Acoustic Celebration of the Life & Music of John Lennon” takes the stage on Tuesday, Oct. 14 at 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, Oct. 15 at 4:00 p.m. at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre. Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 at the door. All tickets include a meet-and-greet with Drew Harrison and Tommy Cosentino in the lobby after the show.

    Whack – A – Mole War

It looks like the tried-and-true method of armed conflict where armies face each other and kill until somebody wins or gives up, now all it takes is assassinating the leadership Israeli style. We enter a new phase of war where the leaders are killed first rather than last as in conventional warfare.
