City of Sedona ArizonaSedona AZ (October 3, 2011) – The Department of Parks and Recreation is offering two unique and creative workshops on faux painting. During these hands-on classes, Instructor Linda Coffman will guide you through the beginning skills that will allow you to create your own painted walls. During the Classic, Tuscan, Metallics workshop, participants learn a faster, easier way to use paint to replicate Old World, stone-like walls, and classic looks for a traditional theme. Learn how to add “bling” from metallics. During the second workshop, Suede, Rustic, Modern, participants are taught an easier, faster way to achieve a soft blend of colors on your wall without the mess of ragging. By using a special wool roller and glaze, students can turn walls into leather. Learn how metallic, stripes and “dry brushing” can change ordinary looks to great. Bring a paint shirt and don’t miss out on the experience Linda has to share.

Fabulous Faux: Classic, Tuscan, Metallics workshop is being held Thursday, October 20, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Recreation Room located in Posse Grounds Park. Registration must be paid for in advance through Parks and Recreation at (928) 282-7098 or registering at Sedona City Hall, 102 Roadrunner Drive. This workshop is $25 per person, with an additional $29 supplies fee that will be collected the day of the workshop.
